Get Your Bag-less Loaf.
What's It Worth? ...
It would take a T-Rex 60 years to eat the 12 million loaves we eat every day …
Where would we be without bread? Where would we put our sandwich fillings or spread our jam? And what would we dunk in our soups!
We munch our way through about 12 million loaves Every. Single. Day in the UK. It would take a T-Rex 60 years to eat that much bread (although it'd probably prefer a slice of meat).
Most bread bags can't be recycled at home either … that's a lot of plastic being produced and landfilled.
A couple of options here … click for more info …
You could make your own or:
• Go plastic free … either from the supermarkets (most of them do loose bread) or from a local bakers with you own bag.
• Or, if you do find yourself with a plastic wrapped loaf, some larger supermarkets recycle them.
