In the UK we have about 51 million pets, we're obsessed! And so should we be, those fluffy little faces!
Although the food pouches are very handy, they're so hard to recycle that less than 1 in every 20,000 are actually recycled, leaving billions to head to landfill.
The How.
Weather your fluffy friends like it wet or dry … there are options …

If your fluffy friends likes it wet, get their food in cans which is far easier to recycle (maybe get a pet food can cover to keep it fresh if they don't eat a whole tin).
If dried food is their thing, look for brands that do recyclable paper bags. Or, if your pet shop does loose food (and treats), get it from there with your own bags.
Making your own is an option too, just check with your vet first and make sure that the ingredients are both safe and nutritious.
